Omnipotent

I remember a time when I was insensible,

Constantly speaking with such innuendo,

Not being myself but something in hospitable,

But in the drop of a dime, I changed.

Realizing people are too precious to discard,

And that life itself is too short to be toyed with,

I have retired my anger and renewed my love,

Knowing that it should’ve been done long ago.

God is omnipotent, and will see to it that all is okay,

But even through the tough times you must keep your faith,

Apologies heal and pride deludes,

Anger colors black and happiness shines with light.

To gainsay love is to doubt the unavoidable,

When given a second chance don’t take it lightly,

Cherish that chance for eternity; it may be the last you receive.
